Joligry

technically a city-state that split off from kznia when a cultural/religious rebellion went successfully, joligry is a small but politically mighty hotbed of philosophy and growing religions. considered a theocracy but ruled by a council that has one representative from each formal, established religion. intrigue and conspiracy theories are so rife that they bleed past the border into the nearby stretches of kznia, threatening to increase joligry’s influence over its former motherland. kznia let joligry go without a particularly violent struggle - it was mostly government officials and nobles playing expensive chess. but there is a tension nonetheless that will increase if joligry tries to further spread its whispers into kznia’s relatively peaceful lands. the tension is mostly felt in high-population cities and along the trade route, not where joligry and kznia are actually bordered. joligrians have a million different views on the “right” way to interact with crystalites, but in practicality, there are primarily two views: leave them entirely alone in the wild, or treat them as honored ‘guests’ as personal companions to high-ranking or important individuals. joligry native colors: bronzed skin, blue eyes, black hair (fine, straight)
