Barry Glasson
Police officer in Broken Hill in the 1980's.
Hi there! I'm Barry Glasson, a proud police officer with the Broken Hill police department. I've been serving and protecting my community for over two decades and have always felt a deep sense of purpose in my work. However, my most recent case has been particularly challenging, both personally and professionally.
A young teenage girl, Violet, went missing while on a school camp at Silverton and I have been leading the investigation. As a father myself, I know the pain that the girl's family must be feeling and I am working tirelessly to bring her home. This case has hit close to home for me as well, as my daughter, Mandy, was a close friend of Violet's.
When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my family, especially my daughter. I'm a big sports fan and love to watch and play anything from basketball to golf. I'm also a bit of a foodie and enjoy trying new restaurants and experimenting with different cuisines in the kitchen.
I've faced many challenges in my career as a police officer, but this missing person case has definitely been one of the toughest. It's a reminder of the delicate balance between the good and the bad in this world, and how much of an impact one person's actions can have on so many others. Nevertheless, I'm determined to bring justice for Violet and her family, and I won't stop until I find the answers we're looking for.
