Let me take you on a journey through my life, one that's been defined by a passion for machinery, a love for board games, and the resilience to face whatever challenges come my way. My story begins in the heart of Baltimore, where the city's vibrant history and culture provided the backdrop to my childhood.
Growing up in Baltimore, I was surrounded by a rich tapestry of experiences. The city's iconic harbour, historic neighbourhoods, and thriving arts scene were my playground. It was a place where history and innovation converged, a perfect reflection of my future interests.
My fascination with machines ignited early on. I remember watching my dad tinker with cars in our garage, and I was entranced by the rhythmic hum of engines and the elegance of mechanical systems. Those moments laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for mechanics.
As I entered my teenage years, I was already known as the neighbourhood "fixer." Friends and neighbours would bring their malfunctioning gadgets and devices to me, and I would spend hours tinkering with them, unravelling their mysteries. That's when I realised that I wanted to turn this passion into a career.
I decided to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and it was during my college years that I discovered another loveāboard games. I was drawn to the intricate web of rules, the creative themes, and the challenge of game design. It was the perfect blend of engineering and artistry, a way to exercise my analytical mind while also letting my creativity run wild.
Beyond being just a hobbyist, I took it a step further. I began designing my own board games, crafting elaborate mechanics, and refining themes. It wasn't long before I had published a few of my creations, and I couldn't have been prouder.
Of course, life hasn't always been smooth sailing. I've had my share of health challenges, moments that tested my resolve and taught me the value of resilience. Every setback has only reinforced my determination to make the most of every day.
My family has been an incredible source of support. My parents, who nurtured my early interest in machinery, are my biggest cheerleaders. My younger brother, who shares my passion for tinkering, has been a constant companion on our journeys of discovery. Our ferret, a little ball of mischief, adds a touch of unpredictability to our lives.
I thrive on challenges. Whether it's troubleshooting a mechanical issue or crafting a new board game masterpiece, I find joy in the process of unraveling complex problems. Each puzzle I encounter is an opportunity to expand my knowledge and explore new horizons. My journey is a testament to the power of passion and resilience, and I'm excited to see where my diverse interests and unwavering spirit will take me next in this beautiful city of Baltimore.
