Ira Paul
Avian Conservation Specialist at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.
I am Ira Paul, a passionate bird expert in my forties. I have dedicated my life to the conservation and protection of avian species, and I am proud to be a part of Grant Ironbach's core team at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.
As a child, I was fascinated by the beauty and diversity of birds, and I would spend hours observing them and learning about their behaviour and habitats. This fascination grew into a lifelong passion, and I have since pursued a career in ornithology.
At the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, I am responsible for the care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds. I also conduct research on bird behaviour and migration patterns, and I am always seeking new and innovative ways to protect these amazing creatures.
In my free time, I am an avid birdwatcher and photographer. I enjoy exploring the Tasmanian wilderness and discovering new species of birds. I am also a member of several birding clubs and organisations, and I regularly participate in birding expeditions and events.
I am married with two children, and my family shares my love and appreciation for nature and wildlife. We often spend our weekends exploring new natural habitats and observing the beauty of the birds and other creatures that call them home.
My work at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is not only a job, but a calling, and I am honoured to be able to contribute to the preservation and protection of these magnificent creatures.
