Sarah's covert observation is interrupted by Ellen, who delivers updates on the airport and ferry inquiries.

As Sarah attempted to discreetly eavesdrop on the conversation between Sergeant Claiborne and Louise Jeffries, she was startled by the raspy voice of Ellen calling her name. Reluctantly turning to face her colleague, Sarah braced herself for a confrontation. Ellen, appearing crankier than usual, scolded Sarah for not answering her phone and proceeded to deliver updates on the inquiries made at the Hobart and Launceston airports. Despite Sarah's attempts to hurry the interaction along and return to her clandestine observation, Ellen revealed that neither Jamie Greyson nor Kain Jeffries had boarded any flights or ferries in the last two weeks. Though disappointed by the lack of new leads, Sarah expressed gratitude for Ellen's diligence. However, by the time Sarah managed to redirect her attention to the courtyard, the Sergeant and Louise had vanished, leaving her frustrated and disappointed at the missed opportunity.
