The confrontation escalates as Karl and the man grapple, with Karl managing to temporarily incapacitate the intruder. However, as Karl tries to flee, the man grabs his foot, dragging him back. In a frantic attempt to break free, Karl executes a forceful kick that sends the man reeling.
The struggle takes a tragic turn when the man loses his footing on the carpeted stairs and begins to fall. Karl instinctively reaches out to stop the fall, but ends up being pulled down with him. In a horrifying moment, Karl lands on the man's head, the impact resulting in a fatal injury.
