This mysterious object, akin to a USB stick but with a unique button, ignites Luke's curiosity despite his lingering disorientation.
  Attempting to examine the device, Luke's clumsy interactions lead to a series of minor accidents, culminating in the device activating and producing a small, vibrant orb of light. This orb transforms his study wall into a portal, a swirling vortex of colours that defies explanation and invites exploration. Compelled by a mix of fear and fascination, Luke decides to interact with the anomaly, launching a pen into the colourful display only to witness it vanish completely.
  Driven by an anxious excitement and the allure of the unknown, Luke approaches the portal, touching it and feeling a surge of energy that solidifies the reality of the situation. Overcoming his apprehensions, he steps through the portal, finding himself in the bright, alien landscape of Clivilius. A voice, not heard but felt within, welcomes him by name, cementing the otherworldly nature of his experience.
  Clivilius presents itself as a vast, desolate expanse, a striking departure from Luke's known world. In his initial exploration, Luke finds the pen he had thrown into the portal, its presence a bizarre link back to his previous reality. His investigation of the pen, marked by his own blood, confirms the physical reality of his journey.
  Struck by the overwhelming emptiness of Clivilius and driven by a desperate need to discover more about this alien world, Luke ventures to the nearest hill. The exhaustive effort and the intense heat of Clivilius soon overwhelm him, leading to his collapse into unconsciousness amidst the vast, silent desert.
