In the midst of their physical altercation, Detective Karl Jenkins is caught off guard by Luke Smith's sudden knee strike to his groin. The searing pain momentarily incapacitates Karl, allowing Luke to lunge forward and engage in a chaotic grapple.
  As they wrestle in the dim light of the shed, Karl's perception of reality begins to warp. The darkness dissolves into an array of swirling colours, creating a hallucinogenic and surreal atmosphere. A mysterious voice echoes in Karl's mind, welcoming him to "Clivilius."
  The struggle continues, with the sounds of the shed's contents crashing around them fading into the background. Karl, disoriented and grappling with the bizarre experience, manages to pin Luke once again, the situation eerily reminiscent of their earlier confrontation.
  As the surreal distortions dissipate, Karl finds himself in an unfamiliar landscape, his anger towards Luke resurfacing. In a fit of rage, Karl delivers a hard punch to Luke's head, rendering him unconscious.
