Breaking and Entering: Karl's Risky Intrusion

Detective Karl Jenkins breaks into Luke Smith's house, driven by a mix of curiosity and the need for answers, only to find the house empty and Jamie's phone inside.

From Karl's Perspective:
  Unable to resist the urge to investigate further, Detective Karl Jenkins approaches Luke Smith's front door. Recalling the futility of knocking from past experiences, he decides to take a more direct approach. In a moment of impulsive decision-making, Karl calls Jamie Greyson's phone, hoping for a response.
  To his surprise, Karl hears Jamie's phone ringing inside the house. Driven by a mix of curiosity and an urgent need for answers, he scales the fence and enters the house through the broken bedroom window. Once inside, Karl notices the absence of the garbage bags that were previously present, raising new suspicions and fears about Luke's activities.
  As Karl cautiously moves through the house, he reaches the kitchen and discovers Jamie's phone lying on the bench. The situation takes an unexpected turn when the phone rings, revealing an incoming call from Sarah. Karl answers, only to hear Sarah's urgent plea for him to get out immediately before the call abruptly ends, leaving him bewildered and on edge.
  From Sarah's Perspective:
  As Detective Sarah Lahey maintained her surveillance of Luke Smith's house, a series of strange events unfolded. From her vantage point, she witnessed a brief flash of multicoloured light from the downstairs room, followed by the appearance of a large man who had not been there before. Concerned for Detective Karl Jenkins' safety, Sarah attempted to call him, only to discover that he was already inside the house. A violent confrontation erupted, marked by muffled sounds of a struggle. Sarah, unarmed and vulnerable, found herself in a precarious position, torn between the need to intervene and the necessity of maintaining her cover.
