Featchturf, God of War.

Overview.

Mortal-kinds capacity for kindness is only matched by its capacity for violence, with war being the greatest example of how mortals wish to resolve most disputes between nations and kingdoms. Featchturf is the embodiment of the capacity for violence that all mortals share and its his responsibility to keep it measured and fair amongst both sides, it is also his duty to designate a specific winner of the conflict, sometimes even before the fighting starts.   With Featchturf embodying all of the mortals capacity for violence and aggression, he can often be seen as very stern and angry to a great many of those who have had the privaledge to be in his presence. But he is especially hard on thise who choose to follow his teachings, aswell as a handful of great warriors, to break them down so they can grow and be better than before.

History Before Divine Conflict.

As the mortals were beginning to interact with other settlements and towns, along with kindness there was also anger to others. These feelings of anger, regardless lf its origin, lead to conflicts that lasted from either a short evening to a great number of years, leading to a large number of deaths and destruction of property.   Beathos didn't like what these feelings of anger did to any of the mortals, but he knew that these feelings were an essential part of who they will become so couldnt be removed. Nevertheless, he decided that if they wished to fight, they would do so on terms set to ensure the safety of those not involved in the battle and so it wouldnt esculate. So Beathos formed Featchturf from all the capacity kf violence and conflict that the mortals presented.   Featchturf first tried to be diplomatic, seeing if he could reason with the mortals and try to end the fighting without further death. The mortals (or more accurately, the generals) denied his request and continued to fight. Unbenownst to them, the more they fought the more power Featchturf had to wield. So Featchturf decided to join in the fighting against both sides, offering mercy to those that refuse to fight or surrender. Not many chose that option.   Featchturf quickly made short work of all of the armies and slaughtered tens-of-thousands of soldiers until he got to the generals. Those that didnt surrender were made an example of before the others and were executed before their armies that did surrender, Following that, Featchturf helped establish the "Lámhleabhar cogaidh", which acted as a foundation/manual for all major conflicts and wars moving forward, as to prevent needless death and genocide from wars, no matter how justified. Featchturf promised that if these rules were not followed or if anyone deviated from the text, they would deal with him personally.   Thousands of years went by and the manner in which wars were fought quickly chamged to ensure the comflict was fought with a semilence of honour, along with Featchturf keeping his word about what will happen if anyone didnt comply, this lead to nearly millions of soldiers dying because they agreed to go against the word of a God. He also took his responsibility as the decider of victors seriously, never choosing the side he wanted to win but instead witnessing and seeing how each side fights. Whenever the conflict reaches a point of near completion or events proceed that can ensure one sides victory kver the other, Featchturf ensures those events occur should they deviate, if not then the fighting will continue unnecassarily and many more die.   Despite his position, not many mortals feared him unless they had reason to. Some saw him as the reason that many battles and wars never take innocent lives for no reason, while others prayed and worshipped to him to gain an edge in conflict, regardless of side everyone got equal treatment for as he said "its never the weapon that decided the winner in war, but rather those who wield the weapon and who they wield them alongside of".   Featchturf also made a deal with Basecron when he started to take his duty as a God. The deal was that whenever a soldier falls, whether in battle or long after, he gets first pick to allow them the chance to join hks "Endless Armies". These soldiers would be granted a perfect afterlife where they will live out their days in luxury, until a time would come where they would be needed to take up their blades again, then they would be required to fight again. Sometimes Featchturf would test those in life to see if they would be worthy of joining the Endless Armies in life and if so, would be granted great power to give them edge.

History During Divine Conflict.

When Divine Conflict came to being, Featchturf knew that he would be forced to choose a victor as it was his duty. Though he agreed with Beathos and thought that the mortals have now become smart enough go face their wars alone. But he couldnt be the one to make that decision as it was against his sacred duty.   He spoke with Beathos as to what he should do and Beathos gave him a special exception, saying he may only choose to fight when he believes it is time or a victor is decided by his rules. He then retired himself to a pocket dimension where he would observe the fighting and wait.   In his waiting, he saw so much death and destruction among the mortals that he kept wanting to chime in, but he couldn't as by his standard, they were following the rules he put in place. But even though the mortals fought valiantly, the gods didnt, but they were exempt from the rules as his manual never accounted for deities to get involved other than him.   This was when he decided enough was enough, feeling that no matter was power or position, everyone is accountable in war. Featchturf then released himself from his plane lf existence and chose to fight alongside the Puros Celestia, since the Brokana Celestia were the ones who used their power against the mortals in war unnecassarily and killed those that refused to take their sides. He took their side and called upon the Endless Armies to shift the balance of conflict back to normal.   When he joined back, Beathos informed him of his plan involving the Toramon Seals, telling him that he needed more time to get things ready. So Featchturf never used his power to ensure the victory kf the Puros Celestia and their armies, but instead kept a balance to allow fakr conflict to continue until things were ready. Then as the final days concluded, Featchturf left the material plane along with the others and took the Endless Armies with him.

History after Divine Conflict.

Featchturf was granted the position of Puros Celestia due to his dedication to his role nad support of the mortals desire to remain independant. He did spend time in the new realm of the gods but did retire to his own personal plane when wars erupted, as to ensure they continued to fight with a shred of honour.   For the most part, his teaching were held in good principle as almost all mortals followed his teaching. Some did deviate, thinking they could get away with it because he couldn't interact with them in the Material Plane. But he still had loyal followers and those blessed with power to protect his teachings, so they took the responsibility of ensuring rules of war were followed in the absence of himself and Featchturf ensured they had the power they needed to do so.   He also kept building the ranks of the Endless armies, since the sould of a mortal that dies isnt restricted to material plane, so allows him the chance to recruit more soldiers. Though members who would join in life became limited to almost 1-2 per century, since the new independant nature of conflict made it difficult to find thise worthy. The most recent addition however was in 1066 A.D.C, it was bestowed to a warrior who hailed from a secluded village in the mountains, a powerful Goliath woman who was called "Ikove".
