The Order of the Guiding Light.

Overview.

The Order of the Guiding Light has been a religious group in Angels Point that has operated for nearly a milenia. They offer their powers and services in fields of political guidance, arsenal support and specialist works towards otherworldly creatures and enemies.
The Order has bases established all across Angels Point but primarily operates out of the capital city itself. The Orders followers dedicate their services to Luma, The Guiding Light.

Early History.

In the year of 102 A.D.C, a group of knights were travelling back from a crusade to purge the last of the fiends from the world on behalf of the king. As they were passing through Fimravak, a poerful demon lord came to destroy these crusaders. The demon killed almost all of the knight except for one, a young dwarf called Thorrin Ironswill.
Thorrin was close to death but stubbornly tried to fend of Basecron's embrace and promise to a better afterlife. His efforts were useless as she approached, until a bright light descended down from the heavens and placed Thorrin under her protection. Basecron left and Thorrin asked the shining stranger what her name was, she turned and said her name was Luma, the Guiding Light, and she was here to help Thorrin defeat this creature.
Luma revived Thorrin and gave him an essence of her power to defeat this demon, on the promise that Thorrin would take the Oath of Luma. Before Thorrin did, he asked Luma why she would help him above all the others and what her power means going forward. Luma explains that in the century since the gods left the world, powerful foes have been left unnchecked in the world and the mortals havent been able to face them like the gods once did, Luma wants to give those with determination and a righteous heart to protect and guide those who cant.
Thorrin then took the oath and was bestowed with the required power to face this demon. He tracked the creature to a small village at the base of the mountains where the demon was running amuck. Thorrin, with the powers of Luma, destroyed the creature and was praised a hero. Thorrin asked for no thanks, only that others would consider to take up swords against these fiends and strike back against evil.
The king heard about this brave knight and offered a base of operations in the city, on the condition that someone from this order stays close to the king. Celestial guidance was something that the kingdom could benefit from in the future.
Since that day, many others have joined the Order and have filled many positions that are needed to help the kingdom thrive.

The Oath of Luma.

Any member of the order who joins, regardless of position, is required to make this promise to Luma.
I promise to act where needed. My actions will be how other define my service to the world.
I promise to stay strong and ready. My body will be prepared for any dangers and tasks that are required of me.
I promise to face all chalenges with a ready approach. My allies and I will face any threat towards us and not flee when we are needed.
I promise to never let my spirit waver. My soul is dedicated to my goals and will never compromise my ability to face dangers.
I dedicate my ife to this oath and the Guiding Light. May her guidance and power shine for years to come.

Order Positions.

The order does more than just employ soldiers and advisors, Luma's guidance is used for a great many tasks. No matter ones position, all are granted with great power and can often be given visions by Luma to help them know where they need to go and what needs to happen.

Healers.

Many come to the Order wanting to take care of those who battle in wars and dangerous fights, or those who end up wounded as collateral.
Luma grants all of these members with healing powers and they are trained in all manner of medicine and healing, with powers and without.

Arcanists.

Magic is one of the most common tools in the world of Clivos, so there will be those who will need to advise others on how it should be wielded and where.
Luma grants these members with great understanding of magic and they are trained in as many ways of mogic as possible to make them indominatable in the ways of magic.

Knights.

Sometimes all that is needed to defeat a threat is understanding and reason, but failing that these warriors can handle any threat.
Luma grants these members with powers of offense, defense and healing and they are trained in all forms of combat with a variety of weapons, as to make them the greatest warriars out there.

Advisors.

Many kings, lords/ladies annd leaders have required great help in securing victory or running day-to-day operations.
Luma grants these members with great power to envision and secure the best for whoever needs it and are trained extesively in negotiation and politics to make them as effective in their selected positions.
