Federation Marshall

Under the Sovereign Regime, a rule by iron fist was done through the system.  When they were overthrown, The Zephryian Federation moved quickly to establish "The Rule of Law" from the Alpha star all the way to The Rim.  Federation Marshalls were appointed to help maintain order and peace during the trying times of the rebuild.
While not the local justice, Federation Marshalls answer directly to the Zephryian Federation and Council, and are there to assist with the local enforcement.  While some see this as a cushy position, it can get very dangerous, depending on the planet you are assigned.  While Cloacina is the furthest from the Alpha, it still has a robust lifestyle.  It is not uncommon for the Federation Marshall to be seen in places of great public interest, almost serving as a poster child for the new government.

Qualifications

While not necessary, most Federation Marshalls are determined from a pool of top soldiers or Town Marshalls who can best maintain law and order with their area.

Appointment

Federation Marshalls are appointed by a committee of the Zephryian Federation.  It is not uncommon for them to be advancing Town Marshalls or former soldiers in the Federation Army.

Duties

Intergalactic law enforcement. Their job is to maintain the peace set up by the Zephryian Federation.

Responsibilities

Enforcing law, making arrests and general peace keeping.

Benefits

Marshalls are given housing and an office on each planet they represent. These are paid for through the taxes from the Federation. Depending on the income of the planet greatly determines what kind of housing a Marshall may receive.  Some places of business recognize having a Federation Marshall on their side is a good thing, and will comp for food or supplies.  These are never a guarantee, but rather a case of shop keeps thanking them for their hard work.

Accoutrements & Equipment

A dress uniform as well as a work uniform is presented to each Federation Marshall. They are also issued a standard blaster and rifle.  Depending on the terrain and expansion that they cover, they may be assigned a Zenith Starfire, a single person ship with holding bay.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Federation Marshalls can be removed from power only by a vote from the Zephyrian Federation.  Any Marshall found not following the overall laws of the Federation can be charged, and put before council for removal.

Length of Term

Federation Marshalls are career titles. Unless removed or retired, a Federation Marshall has no term limit.
