The Coming of the Cloud Sea

The beginning of this age is marked by a terrible storm which swept the world and heralded the coming of the Cloud Sea. The storm was like something never seen before. A wall of dark clouds constantly streaked with lightning with huge twisting cyclones ripping apart everyhing in its path. As the front of the storm passed, what was left behind was a sea of thick noxious clouds which snuffed out anything that had survived the brunt of the strom.

While little beyond speculation is known of its origins, one thing is clear, within six months 95% of land was covered and anyone the Cloud Sea swept over was lost forever. The world was changed, a new age was born, and the survivers struggled to rebuild what little remained.
