Area 51
Area 51 is the base of operations for the American division of Majestic , Majestic 12, and operates in Nevada.
Purpose / Function
The purpose of Area 51 is to conduct kaiju, cryptid, and extraterrestrial research within the United States along with weapons development for self-defense. Before the organization distanced itself, it was the main headquarters for Majestic's international operations.
Defenses
Armed patrols, mines, turrets, drones, and maser tanks line the outside and perimeter of the base in case of an intrusion or kaiju attack.
History
Little is known about the history prior to the Roswell incident, as it was mostly a flat of land used for mining. An air force base had been constructed in 1942 for weapons and aircraft testing. On July 8, 1947, a Grey cosmonaut running surveillance on the United States crashed in a fatal accident that killed the pilot in Roswell, New Mexico. The incident was covered up by the Central Intelligence Agency as being merely a weather balloon, and the saucer was taken back to the minor military base stationed out in the Nevada desert. This and an incident at Antarctica during World War II where United States soldiers discovered an underground Xothian research base surrounding a hibernating kaiju led then-President Harry S. Truman to form Majestic 12 and search the world for evidence of kaiju and extraterrestrials for recovery and cataloging. The meager military base was reconstructed and overhauled in 1955, then given the designation Area 51.
In 2000, Majestic officially split from the United States military into its own independent organization and relocated its main operations to Australia but retained Area 51 as a stateside operations base and embassy.

Tourism
Tourism and access from unauthorized personnel is strictly forbidden, and lethal force is authorized by jurisdiction from both Majestic and the United States armed forces.
