Loch Ness Cryptozoological Research Institute
The Loch Ness Cryptozoological Research Institute is a natural history museum and research facility for Majestic operations within the United Kingdom. It was constructed on Loch Ness in Scotland in 2020 after the Battle of Graciosa Island and the reveal of Loque to the world.
Purpose / Function
Majestic wanted a presence in the region after the kaiju attack, and the research facility and museum were used as reasons to justify another sector in the United Kingdom. It was to study the loch and the surrounding environment as well as to educate the public on evolution, history, and cryptozoology.
Architecture
The underground and underwater observation bunker design is brutalist and Cold War-esque while the upper museum portion is modern and clean. A greenhouse and fishery were built to aid in biodiversity.
Defenses
Heavy gun turrets are stored underground but can be deployed in the event of danger, and the museum can be locked down and sealed to protect different sections.
History
Though the cultural fixation around Loch Ness had drawn Majestic eyes to it, a thorough investigation had not been conducted until after the Battle of Graciosa Island. In-depth exploration of the lake discovered Loque skeletons fossilized in the mud and rock, which were carefully brought to the surface to be studied and shown to the public in the museum.
Tourism
The Loque skeletons and fossil findings have brought tourism to Loch Ness and bolstered the economy.
