Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is the capital city of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil . It is the sixth most populated city in the entirety of the Americas and has the second highest population in the country. Part of the city is considered a UNESCO  World Heritage Site . It suffered significant damage and fatalities in 2020 during the Battle of Rio de Janeiro .
