The Broken Anchor

All in Kvari and a few outside know of the myth and legend that is Titan Anvil. They created the elemental planes and anchored the leylines in Kvari. Forging a great arcane anchor with the might hammer, Narlthud. A tale as old as time. 

There are Seers that dedicate their lives to seeing the future of the anchor and the same foretelling comes about once a year. 

The anchor of Anvil will break when the angels of dragons take the mountains of Kvari as their home. 

All know dragons do not exist in Colossus, but there is tale of those in the dragon city of Calvaria far to the East. A tale that speaks of those in the world with dragon souls, their spirits fused with blood of the ancient creatures of the world. 

Vendari they call them, chosen by Uldryd Monarch of the Dragons. 

The Kvari Seers tell the story that the Vendari will come to Kvari, cleanse the storms and take the mountains as their paradise and heaven. To-do this these dragon angels will break the anchor of Titan Anvil. The leylines will be free and brought together to form a bridge to the draconic realm.

Uldryd will send their legions across the bridge into Colossus and it will be those of Kvari that let it happen. 

This prophecy has led to a fear and hatred of anything draconic coming into the nation. So much so that they are mostly killed on sight with no questions asked. When the prophecy was first shared it was cast aside, now it has repeated for a decade. Kvari can not sit on it anymore. 

Word has been sent outwardly warning of this coming end to Colossus. The Legions of Uldryd will devour those of Colossus in the name of revenge.
