Summer Camp 2024

I am new to World Anvil! This is the first time I am doing this type of thing and it is going to be a challenge indeed! I decided to start using this platform because it seems very organized and user friendly. My first story is being kept private due to me being completely disorganized. My apologies. I hope this "camp" will help be bring this world together and also help me gain a few new friends!
WEEK 1: GET YOURSELF ORGANIZED! THEME: CHANGE
Assignment 1: -Consider what kind of changes would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
- An important change I need to include is the names of the gods/godesses! It is hard to come up with new names but it should be a fun one. - New species and how they help shape the world should also be included. - Important artifacts and their lore.
Assignment 2: Based on this, decide how many prompts you'll go for during Summer Camp. Then, download the pledge document and fill it accordingly!
- This is my first time using this website! It is the first time even writing a story with so much detail, but I am going to try to do all of the promts! Because I am new (not only on the platform but also at worldbuilding), I am going to set my expectations very low and hope to achieve that and maybe more.

Assignment 3: Get your categories and tags organized!
-This is how I want to start organizing my world. - Kingdoms -Characters -Transportation -Powers
Assignment 4: Take a look at your meta, primer, and any other high-level document and update it according to the current state of your world.
That is my world meta. I just started two days ago, so this is a rough draft of everything!
WEEK 2: 8TH JUNE 2024. THEME: REFUGE
Assignment 1 Consider what kinds of refuge would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
- Small rooms filled with magic that helps concentrate. - The forest where music can be heard from the nature around and no one can harm one another.
Assignment 2: Find a community—whether that’s our Discord server, Facebook Group, your RPG or friend group, or something else.
- Still have to find one! Any suggestion would be great :D
Assignment 3: Find ways to improve styling and layout in your world!
- I think that the first thing I need is to organize my ideas and prioritize some plot points. Everything so far is a rough draft as I am trying to fit everything together. - I want to create a map ASAP so that I have a visual representation of where everything is and go from there.
Assignment 4 If you’re a CSS wizard, maybe take the time now to give it a polish!
- I am not a CSS wizard :/ - Once I am a little more used to this website, I might give it a try, but that is for a later time.
WEEK 3: 15TH JUNE 2024. THEME: BELIEF
Assignment 1: Consider what kind of beliefs would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
- Where the is good the is bad, and viceversa. - Magic comes from the gods/goddesses. - Forgiveness can be granted even to our most hated enemy.
Assignment 2: Create a bank of inspirations! Quotes, music, description of experiences and shower thoughts, etc.
- My pets are my greatest inpirations. They are all very different and they have created a life of their own! - I have a husky, two maltipoos, two cats (even though three of them are part of this story), and a turtle (not a character yet)! - I love battlefield music such as "Game of Survival" by Ruelle or "Warriors" by League of Legends' soundtrack.
Assignment 3: Find art and pictures that inspire you, and grab a map if you don't have one (and need one).
- I created my own map! It is a draft but it is helping me visualize how I want this world divided (starting zones at least)
Assignment 4: Check your inspirations again. Are they still relevant? Can you find any that better represent the current state of your project?
- Yes, all of my inspirations are still very much relevant!
WEEK 4: 22ND JUNE 2024. THEME: DECAY
Assignment 1: Consider what kind of decay would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
- Decay of traditions overtime - Time changing hands from good people to bad people and viceversa - Overpowering with magic leading to sickness
Assignment 2: If you like special tea when you write, stock up for a month. Tidy your office, make a “do not disturb” sign, and think about any other last-minute strategies to optimize your writing space and time!
- I have my coffee ready and I am enjoying every minute of it!
Assignment 3: Review your world homepage to hook potential readers!
- I think I mentioned it before but I have everything "private". I know it is terrible for potential readers to engage with my world that way, but my world was created 2 days ago... If people would like to see what I have so far, let me know I will open everything. If not, please give me a few months to clean things up!
Assignment 4: Take a look at your author profile and pillar articles on your world and polish them!
- Still learning how to do this, but I am on it!
