Magmouth

Overview

Magmouth is one of the few big cities and is located near the south of the region of Vestur. It is home to the best school of magic in all of Concordia and for a good reason, it is controled by the mighty Magnus Dragon. This city is mostly inhabited by knowledge seekers like wizards, bards, and druids.

Demographics

Wealthy individuals from any race can be found within the borders of this city. Most of the citizens are wizards, but it is not rare to see bards or even druids and artificiers roaming the streets. Residents are strictly knowledge-seeking spellcasters, which means that sorcerers, clerics, and warlocks are not allowed to stay permanently and are usually looked down upon.

Government

This city works on a hierarchy, with the Magnus Dragon on top. Since the city is full of people in search for knowledge of magic, the dragon chooses one (1) student from each district to become the city council. The council then decides the laws and policies of the city.

The government charges its citizens for staying in the city, but provides basic food and shelter for them. It also allows and encourages them to buy and sell knowledge with each other.

Industry & Trade

Inside the city, one can find all assortments of magical valuables. It is the number one exporter of potions, magic scrolls, and magic-infused items, among other things. It provides the best quality magical goods to the rest of the country.

Districts

Due to academic rivalry between citizens, factions formed. There are a total of six (6) factions, each one concentrating on different aspects of magic. They are constantly sharing knowledge with each other and growing along one another.

Points of interest

The main building is the library located right in the middle of the city. It is used as a study ground and is home to the Warden Dragon. The main part of the library is always open to the public. The underground of the building is where the most important and dangerous magic knowledge is stored. Only the people chosen by the Warden Dragon are allowed to go there.

Geography

Magmouth is located towards the south of the region of Vestur, in the Lavalsend Peaks. Due to the forests that cover this mountain range, it attracts many nature-inclined magic students. It also gets help from the nearby settlements to extract magic-infused gems from within the caves of the mountain.
