Basileia Lyra Invarel

Born in 23225 to the Archon and Archousa Invarel, Basileia Lyra was the eldest daughter of five sisters including herself. She of all her sisters took to the art of the blade and military tactics well exceeding her two older brothers in such skills. She would go on to a member of the Red Guard at eighteen where she would serve for three years until a scandalous argument with the Lord Commander of the Red Guard at the Tournament of Silver Stars in 23247. She would take the position of the Archon's Champion at Arms following this event and would lead her first true battle in 23249, one year before the Third War of Thoroughfare. This battle was known as the Battle of the Shattered Lance and it was the first time Edenite Soldiers had left their borders since the end of the War of Lost Grace in 19980.
Since her ascension to Champion, the Basileia has always won the duelling contest in the Tournament of Silver Stars time and time again earning her own hand in marriage. Naysayers would rudely comment that Lyra was married to her sword and those with a particular bitterness to them murmur rumours of her doing foul things with the pommel of her sword.
These rumours are entirely unfounded and upon hearing this particular rumour the Basileia would go on to say at the end of a speech to the Edenite Senate, "For those of you who claim I use my sword's pommel to pleasure myself I would say, I am certain the pommel would do a better job than you, good lords and I am quite sure your wives would agree with me."
Leaving a stunned Senate behind her the Basileia would walk out of the Senate Chambers. The rumour in question seemed to fade after this spectacle.
Since then the Basileia has carried out her duties protecting her father and mother though as she would be the first to say, "It's more a formality, any would-be attacker would have more to contend with than just me and I shall say no more on the matter."
