Confederation's Primer

Humanity once dreamed outside the Sol, but it was millenniums ago.

In space, humanity learned how to go faster-than-light in search for whatever purposes. Some are wandering alone to seek peace on individual desire, but some are grouping together to form a strong community to share their knowledge and resources. One of them is the Confederate State of Earth, also known as C.S.E., the largest galactic union.

Connected by fast-traveling vessels and ultra-long deep space communication, the milky way galaxy, or parts of the milky way galaxy, becomes smaller than what it used to. By this fact, many space nations choose to join them, despite the cost of political restriction.

Those who unwilling to join the C.S.E. is considered an outlaw, even though they have free will and the ability to do whatever they want. As such, they mostly look upon C.S.E. as the main villain, who tries to take away their freedom with non-stop expansion.

Lucky for them, the nation is currently fighting itself by an inevitable galactic war, but that won't stop themselves for avoiding such massive threat.

Conflict

Major Six War

The biggest war in human history is happening! The internal tension between Major Six, the group of six powerful members, had been broken after an unknown force destroyed their origin planet, leading to the outbreak of the civil war. All members joined their own side. All space fleets prepared to fire the enemies. Overall, it was the fight to prove whoever is the king of the hill.

The Colonization Race

Every systems can be owned by using the proper colonization method. The controversy erupted that between terraforming the existing body or creating a new one, which one is the best?

And who can better give the answer than these two companies in their branch:

Even in the middle of the war, their competition cannot be stopped so easily, and thus they are in neither side, theoretically.

The Wild, Wide Space

In space, many things are waiting for everyone to discover. Despite seven thousand years since the birth of the confederation, they can't even fully explore the milky way. The tremendous amount of systems allows people to turn their discoveries into jobs.

Beware: The vast space is astonishing yet so distinct it makes them feel alone, but it's rewarding.

Technology

In this galaxy, two technologies has been used widely:

Deep Space Communication

Known as DCS, the intergalactic network system connect everything in the CSE at ultra high speed. From cartography to currency, DSC benefited everyone in their activity. Those who're not within DSC mega range may suffer technological backward.

Due to its limited range to reduce its latency, substations must be created around its territories, threatening outsider's freedom.

Jumper

The intergalactic FTL device, it's the humanity's greatest invention, and it's free to be reversed. Consuming lots of energy and can be affected by gravity, every journey must be planned.
