Arrk is a veteran soldier who Ian adopted as a surrogate brother. Arrk is the muscle of the duo, protecting him when needed. That would make Ian the brains, if it had one.
Richard Anderville is Holli's father, Holli was the person who Ian was supposed to marry. Richard is not happy that Ian ran away avoiding it.

Family Ties

Has a father Garrett Wordsmith. Garrett felt an obligation to raise Ian because he felt he would look bad in the eyes of the court if he abandoned him. Even then he hates him, because it's a constant reminder of his failure as a husband and as a father, failing to raise his child to the standards he held. He also has a half sister, Aelin Wordsmith, His half sister from his father side. The only one in the noble circle that treated him as an equal instead of an inferior.
