Grassland Stacks

In the Central Plains of Continental the ground does not stay in place. Instead it rises, and shifts to form stacks like the clouds do. The floor of the Plains is constantly regenerating more soil with plant life upon it. This mass amount of land is how the Plains produce so much grain, as well as why so few live there. This phenonmenon is because of the magic seeping through the soil from when the magic war was fought. The central Plains were ground zero for a lot of the conflict, thus have the most magical warping. Resting ponds and Perpetual steam ponds are found dotting the landscape.
