Involuntary Shivering Disorder
One of the side effects of hypothermia, Involuntary Shivering Disorder (ISD) is a muscular disorder. Caused by muscle damage in cases of extreme cold, this disorder will make the sufferer have involuntary bouts of muscular tremors or shivers. The shivers rack the patients body and render them temporarily immobile and unable to fully speak.
Only codified as a disorder in 5,330 ME by Azul the Alchemist after being the Alchemist looking after Galanthus "Khione" Bardot. As it is so newly discovered no real research into the disorder currently exists.
Causes
Muscular and nerve damage brought on by extreme cold temperature and loss of circulation.
Symptoms
Body tremors, muscular shivering tick.
