Description
Atum's Law is a Law laid down by ancient scholars who spent their entire lives studying the gods that states the following:
A God or Divine Being's power is directly proportional to the faith mortal creatures have in them, in both quantity and quality.
This law is accepted by most modern day creatures and scholars as a strange oddity of the nature of the divine, though many discredit the law as false, citing the unique nature of certain Divines such as
Risen Gods, who require no such faith to survive, as proof of the Law's falseness. However, those who believe the law believe in its truth that given a lack or surplus of believers, a God's power can dwindle away to nothing or explode massively overnight, though the
Major Gods remain a subject of dispute, as many claim they are mighty enough they could not possible require the faith of mortals to survive.
