Sandskin Alternate Racial Traits
Hyperactive Glands: You cannot become fatigued or exhausted. You no longer need to sleep. Replaces Amazonian Physique OR Mighty Trample.
The Sandskin Dai-Yukai often are put to use as massive beasts of burden that carry large burdens across the sandy dunes of the desert for their masters...in response to this constant exertion some Sandskin bodies become so used to the exhaustion, fatigue, and sweat that comes with being overworked that they become nearly immune to tiring.
Bluemarrow Born: Your type changes to Aberration. You now need to breathe, eat, and sleep. Gain Aklo as a bonus language and gain a swim speed equal to twice your base land speed. Gain telepathy 120ft. Your WIS score is always counted as 10 if it is below 10 for the sake of your will save. Replaces Mighty Grip OR Mighty Trample.
Thanks to their massive size, it isn't uncommon for the slavers that capture Dai-Yukai from their home to get them addicted to the nefarious drug Bluemarrow to break their minds and make them more pliable to their commands...and while this tactic is sadly devastatingly effective, some Sandskin experience odd mutations as a result of their forced addiction, and become something far, far removed from Giantkind that is beckoned by the alien life that dwells within the Dark Tapestry...
Angel of Irons: You automatically detect when a creature within 30ft of you is under an enchantment effect. Treat your strength score as 10 higher for all strength checks made to break items. When you succeed in breaking the restraints worn by a creature, if that creature is suffering from addiction, diseases, ability damage, or poisons, you automatically delay all such penalties that creature is experiencing for one hour, after which they resume as normal. Replaces Amazonian Physique.
Having spent most of almost all of their life in chains and bound into slavery as creature treated barely the same as animals or beasts, it is no wonder that, when they are finally freed from their life of servitude, become a beautiful Avenging Angel that vows to frees their kin from a similar fate. Capable of fantastic feats of strength for the sake of breaking bonds and items, these Dai-Yukai are feared by slavers far and wide for their deadly prowess and raging desire to see those same slavers crushed into paste.
Varied Skillset: Gain an extra skill rank per level. You may switch any 2 skills to use CON as their primary attribute. Replaces Slave's Resilience.
From a lifestime of slavery, many Sandskin often find themselves developing an incredibly diverse skillset thanks to their long lives and the variety of tasks their masters often give to them.

Replaces Slave's Resilience.
Though they are often enslaved and made into beasts of burden, some Dai-Yukai are bought by families in the deserts they call home that are not only prestigious and long-lived, but also see them as treasured familial possessions and things to be taken care of. These Sandskin are lucky and often serve their owning family for generations, are taught language and nobility and other bits of knowledge, from parent to child to child to child and so on as precious members of the family...and as they are taken care of, so too in return do they care for those who did right by them.
Pharaonic Inheritor: Gain Khotekh as a bonus language. Any spell you casts that manipulates the soul has +2 added to the DC to resist it(Such as Trap the Soul, Speak with Dead, Magic Jar, Etc.), and you gain a +2 to all saves made to resist the same effects. Your corpse can never be turned into an undead creature unless you are aiming to do so(Such as a lich or graveknight). Replaces Beasts of Burden.
Nebulous in origin, these odd Sandskin speak the language of the ancient mummies and that is written on the walls of the crumbling pyramids of the deserts...and they claim a terrifying mastery of the ways of the soul. Odd and reclusive, these Sandskin often mysterious break free of their bonds of slavery and often retreat to the Pyramidion once it appears in the world without a word, leaving the world behind to embrace a more sinister master.
Persuasion through strength: You may use strength instead of charisma for Intimidate and diplomacy checks. You may attempt to demoralize foes with any strength-based skill check at a -5 to the roll. Replaces Slave's Resilience.
Though the Dai-Yukai find it hard to interact in a meaningful way with the more normal sized races of the world, many among them have learned the value of speaking with their strength, not with their quickness of wit or words. These Dai-Yukai are masters at utilizing their innate brawn in place of their charisma to interact with others, using their already immense bodies to convince and threaten those they encounter...and, additionally, many who encounter them find themselves demoralized and in despair after watching these colossal giants perform feats of strength so far and above their own they seem the stuff of myth.
Giant Sprinter: Your base land speed increases to 40ft. Replaces Slave's Resilience.
Owing to their massive size, Dai-Yukai find it plenty simple to traverse the environs of the world thanks to their massive size letting them stride unhindered across many obstacles and barriers. In some Dai-Yukai, their undead heritage shines through brighter in them than it does in others, and their very skin crackles and warps with necromantic and burning energy. When they are struck by melee attacks, they may utilize this power and discharge a burst of negative or fire energy into their attacker, their normally blood-red skin tinged with purples and blacks to signify their more prominent undead sides.

To the tribal Dai-Yukai, who so often tower above other races and beings, few things are as potent a sign of one’s strength and right to rule than size and strength. The rare Dai-Yukai born at nearly twice the size of many of their kin are dubbed ‘Gigax’ by their tribe, and are venerated as leaders, chieftains, and shamans. With their massive size that puts most humans and similarly sized creatures standing at the same height as one of their toes, the Gigax are the centerpieces of Dai-Yukai culture, serving as guides both physical and spiritual to the rest of their peoples, as well as effortlessly crushing the enemies of the tribe who would dare seek them out.

These Dai-Yukai often become the first line of defense against invaders to the village, as well as leaders of the rare raiding parties into civilized lands for resources, food, and manpower. Powerful enough and fast enough to smash entire city blocks beneath their titanic, red soles, these powerful tramplers are feared by all the mortal races as harbingers of death.

Doing this is a move action that does not provoke AoO. Replaces Slave's Resilience or Slam. If you replace Slam, Mighty Trample still starts at 1d8 damage by default.
Special: If you have the "Dai-Yukai Gigax" alternate racial trait, you may also 1/day stomp the ground with such force you generate a fog cloud effect centered on yourself or a square within your natural reach.
Being so utterly massive, Dai-Yukai have learned to take full advantage of their immense size by stomping the ground with such ferocity and force that all nearby terrain splinters and breaks under the force of their stomp.
Weapon Proficiency: Treat all Greatclubs, Greataxes, Earth Breakers, and Greatswords as well as any weapon with ‘Jotun’ in its name as a martial weapon. Replaces Mighty Grip.
Having since subjugated most of the barbaric, ferocious Jotun and made them into vassal tribes, the Dai-Yukai have become closely acquainted with the Jotun, as both races need one another to continue procreating and continuing their species. Some Dai-Yukai, however, learn the ways of the Jotun and how to use their weapons, training with the viking warriors of their tribe to better equip themselves for combat.

The eyes in the trees that watch over their village where they can be free, the Watchers are the Dai-Yukai who spend their entire lives within sandstorms, heat, and sand all to keep a watch on their homes. Adept at seeing and hiding due to this lifestyle, these Dai-Yukai become even more effective at what they do within raging storms, sandstorms, and similar conditions...so much so that several travelers have reported not seeing them until it was far, far too late.
Undead Adaptability: For a number of rounds per day equal to (1+ ½ CONMOD, Minimum 1) you may decide whether to be treated as an undead or alive creature for the purposes of healing and magical effects. Replaces Mighty Grip.
Another often overlooked sign of their undead nature, some Dai-Yukai are born with skin the color of palest ash touched by midnight, flecks of darkness creeping up their skin like tendrils as the rest of their skin is the color of ash and rarely, their natural red. Capable of acting as both living and undead to determine whether positive or negative energy hurts or heals them, these women often use such an ability to help defend themselves against the servants of the divine who so often wish them dead or enslaved as undead abominations, reveling in the confusion and despair of their foes as their channeled energy merely heals them.
Dai-Yukai Sandshaman: Ability scores replaced with (+2 Constitution, -4 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, +4 Charisma). Replaces Amazonian Physique and modifies ability scores.
Rarely, on moonlit nights where the stars hang low enough in the sky that they might be just within reach, the nighttime sky a tapestry of twinkling lights set on a canvas of black, a Sandskin Dai-Yukai is born whose skin glitters and twinkles like starlight against a blood-red backdrop, her hair as white as freshly driven snow or, rarely, another odd color...yet, the oddest thing about such a woman is her innate wisdom that comes with such a momentous birth. A race beset on all sides most of their lives by hunters, killers, divine servants and other creatures who want nothing more to hunt and kill the most powerful beasts in all the land, the Dai-Yukai are a race that has been dwindling in number for many long eons. A race that fell victim to the sad yet all too real tendency of humanity and similar races to seek powerful foes, to slay them, hunt them, and take their trophies, they are also attacked by the servants of the divine who see their undead nature as proof of their destiny to be slain and purged. Because of all this, they are a race used to death and loss more than any other….and are all, from birth, gifted with the training and ability to avoid death and skirt the reach of the reaper...whatever it takes to preserve themselves and their race that much longer.
Predator's Supreme Scent: Gain scent out to 100ft. You can no longer be detected by scent-based perception checks or the scent ability, and you gain a +4 on all saving throws against the stench universal monster rule and similar scent-based attacks. Replaces Mighty Grip.
Some Dai-Yukai become so in-tune and used to the way of the hunt, of seeking out prey and stalking them, that their noses and bodies change as a result. Their noses adapting to let them smell out their foes from a hundred feet away while their bodies no longer produce any smell that could let them be tracked, they are considered competent hunters and stalkers by their kin, and are greatly feared by all who would dare intrude on their village in secret.
Hypnotic Mystic: Gain +1 to the DC for all saving throws against spells or effects they cast that inflict the fascinated condition, and all charm and compulsion spells. Once per day, when a creature rolls a saving throw against such an effect from a member of this race, the member of the race can force that creature to reroll the saving throw and use the second result, even if it is worse. Gain the ability to cast the Hypnotism spell as a caster of your level once a day. Replaces Amazonian Physique.
While many Sandskin Dai-Yukai abhor forcing others to do their bidding due to their history as slaves, some of these female giants are highly gifted with brainwashing and controlling the very creatures that once did so to them. Powerful enchantresses and hypnotists, these giant women hypnotize and enchant their targets with their magics, convincing them to do what they wish with nothing but the snap of her fingers.
Blackpowder Defenses: Gain +4 to your touch AC against firearms, and you may add all of your natural armor bonus and your CONMOD to your touch AC against firearm attacks. Additionally, you do not subtract your size modifier to your touch AC vs firearm attacks. Gain +2 Natural armor and take 50% more damage from fire. Replaces Sandskin Defenses
Guns are one of the most common weapons in the emerging new age many warriors and hunters bring when they go to confront powerful foes...with their ease of use, power, and terrifying cacophony, they are even more effective at both large races and tribal ones, who fear such a mysterious thing as a gun. However...the Dai-Yukai are not such a race. Having seen them enough times and watched their sisters die, some Dai-Yukai are trained and skilled in the ways of foiling firearm attacks.
