Royal Guard of Merras
The core of the Queen’s support is her royal guard consisting of four hundred former sect warriors, many former Zalarite and Alyite warriors. This unit started as Queen Berea's own mercenary troop. After she seized the throne of Merras she transformed her mercenaries into a highly professional military unit. Over the years many of the unit's personnel have left service for various reasons and have been replaced by professional warriors from throughout the north. The unit guiding principal is personal loyal to the Queen.
The warriors wear green surcoats over silver three-quarters plate. All of them are trained cavalry and have high quality warhorses.
