A group of bold Kobolds attacks the town of Oakenhold, in the Kingdom of Cordall

A group of bold Kobolds attacks the town of Oakenhold, in the Kingdom of Cordall. This seemed like an unprompted attack at the time, however, it appears the Kobolds were desperate, having been driven from their lands by the Oaken Protectorate. Local landed noble, and business owner, Orsen Mournspire, was using the Protectorate as personal mercenaries to clear land for himself to claim. In doing so, he inadvertedly upset the local population of Kobolds, which then targeted a tavern on the outskirts of town, that they had seen food deliveries going to.   A group of adventurers would eventually discover that Orsen Mournspire had been dead for a few months, and was being impersonated by a Changeling. It would turn out that because of this Changeling's actions at aggitating the Kobolds also led to the death of a commrade, that was attempting to find refuge near by with very important keepsakes of a target of theirs.
