APPEARANCE

Lord Antonio is 6'1" and very muscular; his clothing is usually a tunic and pants or shorts with a shirt for protection against the weather. His hair color is dark and eyes are bright blue; he has several tattoos across his body, including one on each shoulder blade that reads "Protector Incarnate". He has several small scars on each from battles fought over the years. He has a particular passion for his blood-red tunic and cloak.
CURRENT WHEREABOUTS Lord Valan currently resides in Valan proper, where he has been since before becoming involved with politics. He owns several properties throughout town (including two houses) as well as outside of city limits in surrounding areas that provide shelter for those who travel through during storms seasonally-related or otherwise.. In addition to this property, Lord Valan also holds significant lands outside of town which provide foodstuffs for local merchants as well as other people who do business with them - these lands have been granted to the family by Althanas Gerard himself because of their loyalty during Great War, though some say it's due to assistance given when no others would stand up against Draconic influence.

BACKGROUND

Antonio Valan was born in Valan.
Antonio is very close to his wife; she is the only person he trusts completely. He does not know why, but it's true - even though all women are created equal under Anesa's law, Lady Valan holds a special place in his heart. The two have been close since childhood; they were both part of the "in group" (a group of young people who had access to better food and clothing than others around them) because they worked hard at whatever task was given them. It was also common for House Valan to hire out players from local theatres to perform at their home - these actors would stay overnight as guests while performing before dinner the following evening, and staying almost every night until morning!

ENEMIES

Lord Valan has several enemies; one is House Darneth; these two families have been involved in several fights over the years because of their similar backgrounds. Both families dislike being on opposite sides of any issue, especially when it involves magic users or those with special abilities. This situation causes problems between them more often than not - even though they both work closely together during periods where political agendas align, personal feelings sometimes get in the way and cause issues between them later on down the line...

MOTIVATION

Lord Valan is motivated by many things; one thing above all others is protecting his family and even others who are less fortunate, from harm. He will do anything within his power to ensure their safety and well-being, including, if needs be, violating laws himself, such as illegal weapons dealing, executions, strong-arm tactics, or other unsavory acts. His wife also has a strong presence in his life; she understands how important it is to keep the House in power, she works hard not only around him but also sometimes against him if need be. He knows that she will lie if needed to make sure that something gets done, which has made for interesting adventures for them both.
