Kolb Zir

Orun II's cargo specialist was a man named Kolb, a large and usually good-humored Miran. Since Orun II is exclusively hauling ice, Kolb prides himself on having become something of an ice aficionado. Except for Captain Rajtun, Kolb had been on Orun II the longest, but he dreams of buying a home in the Spire on Coriolis someday. Kolb is also the ship's chef and is praised onboard for his Miran specialities.

During the djinn crisis, Kolb barricaded himself in the midships workshop, armed with a pulse drill. He couldn't see a way out of his predicament and trusted no one, given that he had seen Djinn possessed former friends turn on each other. He was surprised by the arrival of the Yara, and thankful for their rescue - especially since they came at the workshop from outside rather from within the ship.

Even after the events on the Orun II, Kolb is still a bit paranoid
