Are you a Spacer? Or have you got your feet planted solidly on the ground?
Are you Hyper? Or does it all sound a bit too real for you?
Regardless of whether you're a seasoned space-legged traveller, a first time rookie or a grounder with a curiosity for terminology. This book is for you!

Following is a list of abbreviations and terms you might hear when talking about the space faring business or the current age of techno-specialties:

1. BRIAN / BR - Based Radiocommunication Intigrated Arcan Network; Short Range Comms, station and ship control.
2. FTL - Faster than light
3. GHN - Galactic Holtzman Network, public news and logs channel.
4. Grounder - Somebody that lives in or spends the majority of their time on a planet or moon.
5. Holtzman - Long Range Comms
6. LY(s) - Light Year(s)
7. NCE - Non Carbonid Entity
8. NHC - Non Humanoid Carbonid
9. SBS - Space Based Station
10. Spacer - Somebody that lives in space or spends the majority of their time there.
11. s (prefix) - Whenever a number is prefixed by an s it indicates the number is in seximal.

As you, the reader, might be unfamiliar with counting in senary like they do in most of science and space. Here's a small breakdown of how that works. I emplore you to check out A guide to Seximal, by Mitchell J. Halley The numbers 1-12 are pronounced the same, but with base six. This gives:

1. one - s1
2. two - s2
3. three - s3
4. four - s4
5. five - s5
6. six - s10
7. seven - s11
8. eight - s12
9. nine - s13
10. ten - s14
11. eleven - s15
12. dozen/twelve - s20

From thereon out each seximal number is pronounced with a -sy at the end e.g. s32 is thirsy-two. To calculate this in decimal simply multiply each number with the power of six corresponding to the index of the number counted from the back, starting with 6⁰. e.g. s32 = 2 * 6⁰ + 3 * 6¹ = 20

3. Unexium - 1,296 (s1,0000) years
4. Biexium - 1,679,616 (s1,0000,0000) years
