Titan Wars

A long long time ago, in the time of creation, the gods attempted to create the perfect beings. Some created them in image of themselves, others created what they thought was perfect. But as is true with most creations, eventually they turned against their masters. Being literally the perfect beings, gave them a good shot at actually challenging the pantheons. In the year 45359 AE, the titans attacked. Killing many gods and even pantheons, turning them to vestiges and forgotten corpses floating amongst the astral sea.

 
This war continued for millennia, having many casualties on either side. But eventually The Old Pantheon banded together with the peoples of the worlds, outsmarting the Titans. Eventually, the last titans fled the battle after their leader and strongest titan was captured and imprisoned. The last of these titans still roam the planes, some having made peace with the deities. Others plotting their revenge. But, regardless of their alignment to the past. Many of these Titans have faded into legend. If they're still alive, they're hiding from powers who want to use or challenge them.
