Lumin Path

The Lumin Path, also called the Light and Kardhassar, is the fabled source of divine essence from which all existence is said to have been spawned. According to Corporeal theologists, the Lumin path dripped from it a golden energy that coalesced into the first Gods of the Fore: the North Wind, the West Moon, Synedda, and Nerei. Those gods then created new life, diluting their own divinity and allowing for the first life to emerge during the Age of the Chalice.
The Path itself is invisible to most mortal eyes. Only those that have died and been resurrected can see its true form: a golden nebula hanging among the stars that stretches an infinite distance.
In the Materium, a great empress once attempted to harness the power of the Lumin Path. She succeeded in only the first step: pulling the Path down to touch her world's dial. This caused the cataclysmic event known in Materium as the Lightfall, which shattered that world's dial and destroyed a continent; the empress along with it.
