Cloudboard

A translucent, razor-thin piece of hard light that levitates a few inches from the ground. A soft voice calls out in Erryl from a glowing gold core in the center. Cloudboards were once the mainstay forms of transportation for couriers to navigate the Sprawling Ryllian metropolises while avoiding corporate controlled fly-ways. Each board is implanted with a rudimentary artificial intelligence that relayed traffic data and job offers to the rebel deliverymen that rode them.

Effect: Grants a base pace of 15 and a pace of 25 with a successful run check. If the user is attacked on the same turn that they use the board, he must make a successful acrobatics check or else be knocked prone. The cloudboard ignores any flat difficult terrain such as water or caltrops.
Familiarity Affinity (5): Anti-gravity slide. A quick sliding maneuver employed by courriers to escape blaster fire when trespassing in corporate territory. Allows the user to move 4 squares after a successful dodge roll.
Discovery Affinity (DC 6): Sonic Summon Software. Whistle recognition software installed in the AI allows the owner to call the board from a distance of up to 100”. The board moves at 25” per turn when returning to the user.
Familiarity Affinity (3): Room for one more. A stance that allows couriers to carry a single passenger on the cloudboard, but at -3 to its pace. When cloadboard carrying two passengers is hit, both must succeed on an acrobatics roll to avoid being knocked prone.
