Saga of Baird the Bold

The Saga of Baird the Bold is a Geit epic poem, dedicated to a thrall sailor who would take any contract from a clan chieftain, no matter the odds.
Unlike other types of songs, Geit Sagas only provide benefits to a single character (the “hero” of the song), for the duration of the song.

Effect: The hero gains a +2 on all Tests to become unshaken throughout the course of the song.

  Choruses

Favored by Fate (DC 4): An introductory verse, sung from the perspective of the Narn, foretelling Baird’s future great deeds. When they say that luck favors the Bold, it is of Baird they speak. Gives the hero a temporary Benny that disappears after the song ends.

Their Arrows He Blocked (DC 6): A puffing account about the ranks of Baird’s enemies. Flesh always is a bit tougher in songs. Gives the hero +1 Toughness for the duration of the song.

Through their Ranks He Did Rake (DC 6): A bellicose verse about Baird’s headlong rush into enemy ranks. The hero does not invoke Attacks of Opportunity this turn.

And Could Not Be Stopped (DC 10): A quiet verse of Baird’s apparent death, followed by a raucous chorus of him rising to fight again. If the hero is Incapacitated, he returns to life, with one wound removed.
