Our group of semi-retired adventurers has gathered to relive the "old days". William walks in, accompanied by a mysterious, tall, dark-cloaked figure (Older Githzerai Warcaster who was previously imprisoned on the astral ship with the Predator). William is bruised but seems driven for revenge with a burning, searing passion. 
The group will get the details of what William has asked them to do - Retrieve the Fabled Court Mage, Maars' Staff of Power
The group will be directed to a waiting ship to cross the sea over to the island of Spearbroke, where they will enter the Red Dragon's Lair (Une, The Thin). 
Une is a massively overweight Adult Red Dragon, who commands a harem of female Red Dragon Wyrmlings.

Gary's son, William (Human male, 19 years old) encountered a strange phenomenon on the road to the south while returning from Serenity Point - William encountered a party of hunters (blackguard hunters) searching for a creature (steel panther). They had a warforged with them (not known to this land at all). William Theodore (T.) Porter, (III) believes that he is destined for greater things than being a porter in the Manor. William desires to shed himself of his small town and make a name for himself as a knight and one day serve in the (Queen's) royal guard.
