Isla Cobre

Isla Cobre is a legendary stronghold for pirates, smugglers, rebels and escaped slaves. It is also known for having the one of the most varied mix of cultures and ethnicities in the world.
Prior to being established as a city, the region was famous for its dangerous currents, jagged rocks, and hidden reefs, which would frequently shipwreck unlucky sailors. It was from the detritus and flotsam of these wrecked vessels that the first buildings on the island were constructed. With its hidden coves and treacherous shores, and its central location in the Shattered Sea, the island would soon become a haven for piracy.

Districts

The Brass Quay

The Brass Quay stretches around the Copper Bay, and is filled with docked ships, workshops, and inns. It's an easy place to stay for visitors who never leave the docks, so a little bit of everything can be found here.

The People's Quarter

The People's Quarter is the residential chunk of Isla Cobre, adorned with a beautiful beach contrasted with the rickety shacks made from driftwood and shipwrecks the locals call home. It is also home to many of the taverns that the locals, and visitors, like to spend their evenings in.

Market Street

Market Street winds a complicated path between the Shipwrecks of Isla Cobre up to the Excelsior itself. Considered by many to be the main street of the city, many optimistic vendors have set up stalls and opened their doors to those who wonder Isla Cobre's Streets, including Curios, food markets, and taverns.

The Excelsior

The closest thing Isla Cobre has to a Capital building, a virtually intact ship somehow sitting on the peak of the hill at the heart of the island. Its interior has been converted to feature large gathering calls and cellars for alcohol.
