Sankatain

Sankatain is a port town in the Spiral Isles. For a while, it was a fringe territory of the Pirate Union, until their collapse. It is now considered territory of the new Cobrian Union.
Sankatain was originally founded as a farming town by Calamaran settlers, but was mostly left to its own devices. Because of this, it easily fell under the sway of the Erdannian Empire and the Pirate Union.
Sankatain has a fragile relationship with Svoldia to its East. invariably by turns, the port is raided by Svoldians, or serves as a secretive smuggling hub between them and the pirates of Isla Cobre.
