Zulaca Cities

A land of thick jungles, strange creatures, and mysterious magic, inhabited by tough people. The Hirokiri live in huge, well defended cities. Though they revere nature and life, they often make deals with demons in order to survive. For most of their history, the cities of Hirokir have been independent. However, in this age of emerging superpowers, a group of powerful Hirokiri city-states have joined together into a coalition known as the Zulaca Cities. The magic possessed by the Hirokiri is beyond the wildest imagination of other nations. The shamans of these jungles have delved into dark and forbidden magics, just in order to survive in their hostile homes. Many Hirokiri cities have large numbers of cambion inhabitants, or humans mutated and/or given advanced powers through strange rituals. Though they do not possess the technology required to muster an organised military, the Hirokiri tend to rely on subterfuge and sneaky tactics to win their wars instead. This can be actions as subtle as using their advanced poisons to assassinate enemy leaders, or as blunt as summoning deadly creatures and pointing them at their foes.
