Session 9 Recap

The session starts off with our crew gathering supplies for the ships long journey, with over a month of travel planned this is the longest trek yet. After the Captain had ran into Punkin making her own purchase at Barthens Provisions she explained she was "fixing his problems" and returned to the ship. After finishing the load up at Waterdeep the Planitary Express launches into Realmspace, Toril and Faerun will have to wait for their next visit. The captain waits for the ship to stabilize before he heads over to Punkins room to check on her. They have an arguement where Punkin explains her concerns for the morality of the crew and their ease to take lives. It's through this conversation that the Captain offers Punkin a new position on the ship of the Ambassador. As this role Punkin will have the responsibility to reach out first to non-combative encounters and see if the situation can be resolved peacefully. During their first week of travel they encounter the Blessing of Unicorns they had met when they were heading to Gortun. They explained that they were simply grazing the area and offered to help. Moving the crew 11 days closer to Lunaria in a single day.
During the first week, Rai retires to her room after being made to eat an entire loaf of bread by Valtish since she didn't want to eat his giant pill bug stew. The moment her door shuts she is lifted up by the throat and slammed against the wall. A tall brooding man with raven locks and crimson eyes that pierce through hers. Rai instictively reaches for her guns to the shock of them being gone. The stow-away tells her that if she screams and alert the others she will regret it. He explains he needs to be taken to Bral and is seeking the help of someone there. He tells Rai that he must be kept secret and to not tell the others. Punkin making her rounds to talk to the crew of her new position notes Rai having a flustered face and her room smelling of a man's colonge. Punkin's curoisity is peaked but she leaves for now from her partial fear of Rai. Valtish explains to Punkin that regardless of her role on this ship he has always been in charge of the food and always will be. As well as telling her that all people are food, herself included.
The second week comes as fast as the first one went. After a week of being in the same room as the man named Maddox her lewd thoughts are in overdrive. The crew on the deck see an infernal creature inclosing on the ship. A balor, one of the highest ranking Fiends, converses to the ship he is searching for a monster named Maddox, all but Rai know not of this being but since the Balor has tracked his scent here they decide to aid him to search the ship. Although he was able to detect the presense of the monster in the cargo bay and Rai's room he believes Maddox escaped before he arrived. After the Balor leaves spixi notices a scroll dropped from him. Written on the skin of imps and scriped in blood, a wanted poster: "Wanted - Dread Vampire Lord Maddox Jovian, for the consumption of countless souls and escaping from Baator. Return to Baator at once." The crew puts the pressure on Rai as they keep asking her questions and offering her help as the stress of the situation overwhelms her. Captain asks Maddox to reveal himself as he apperates in front of the crew after disarming them of their weapons. He explains he was wrongly convicted for crimes he didn't commit, he is still a monster but not the one he was inprisoned as. He needs to reach Bral to talk to an old acquaintance Mr. Strickland to help him. The crew reluctantly agrees to harbor him to Bral but will still prioritize taking their Werewolf passenger to Lunaria. He explains that his scent won't be trackable so long as he can get a stable amount of blood.
During the third week, Lottie speaks to the captain about being able to better communicate with him without the fear of reprecusions. Captain agrees with his first mate that he should be able to trust her advice and listen to her freely. Soon they are approached by a Gith war ship that hail the ship. It's quickly revealed to the Peggers that these are pirates, and they just want to check their cargo bay for precious cargo. With reluctance the crew complies, and quickly the Gith Buccaneers take their leave. The week is mostly uneventful past that aside from Maddox continually teasing Rai. And after long travel they arrive to Lunaria to finally complete their quest. Gunvor thanks the crew for everything and finally gets his cursed removed from Mara the high priestess of Selune. Before leaving the party decides to visit a couple of places while Rai returns to the ship. At the Hall of Requiem our members take a moment of silence for Rhui to speak with her mother and Lottie to find out about her exes death as she has a brief conversation with him. Meanwhile at the Moonmaidens Apothecary a creature tended to the many many drawers that lined the walls of this staircase wrapped tower. This Fey being was unnerving at first with its ability to lengthen their limbs at will and disconnet the bones to get what they need. After Punkin snooped a bit she took a bit of bowel cleanser and had to leave immediately. While Spixi, Lottie, and Helion continued to browse the creatures wares. Spixi began to get curious and ask the creature it's name. With a bit of back and forth conversation the Feyborn reveals it know's Spixi's name and her homeland. The crew leaves the building shortly afterwards. Back on the ship Rai can't hold back any longer and pleads to Maddox for him to have his way with her. With the biting of her neck and the removal of her clothes Rai does everything in her power to stay quite while the rest of the crew prepare for take off. 
Our last week of travel is from Lunaria to the Rock of Bral, their travel is momentarily paused as a hammer head spelljammer hails the ship. A half-elven female vampire asks the Captain if they've seen a man named Maddox. Captain asks for a moment while he checks with Maddox on what to do. Maddox, currently occupied with Rai in the gunner seat, tells Captain that they are thralls of his that want to return to serving him and to tell them he isn't there. The vampire captain gives the Captain a sending card to contact her, then a second after he uses the first. Finally they arrive at Bral. Spixi, Rai, and Maddox head to the Mage's Guildhall where Mr. Strickland takes them to a planer pocket dimension. Inside his lavish home, glossy obsidian floors and a accent wall that pours lava for lighting. Mr. Strickland greets the two girls and offers them wine while him and Maddox do buisness, his name cleared for 1,000 years of mortality. After signing the contract Maddox rewards Rai by purchasing a new pistol for her. We pick back up that same afternoon, on the 24th of Alturiak.
