Machinae (Mah-kihn-I)
Machinae is the language of machines. Syntactically, it's made up of hundreds of strategically geometric characters, each representing a different mathematical concept, from numbers to operations to some where the meaning is yet untranslatable to any of the more common languages. Phonetically, it is comprised of specialized combinations of notes played simultaneously (similar to touch tones). These sounds are impossible for an organic being to make, but an accepted variant of the language exists where one may make each of the sounds individually followed by clicking one's tongue to delineate the end of a character. As such, a speaker will sound either wildly discordant (sounds played simultaneously) or oddly melodic (sounds played individually) since words can contain up to 5 tones. Most organic speakers will attach particular vowel sounds to the syllables, but varying vowels play no role in the interpretation of the overall word. Thus, dialects may crop up, but speakers should experience little difficulty understanding a speaker of a different dialect unless pitch can not adequately be conveyed.
