Not all wolf-folk are born as one... some are cursed whether it’s by some powerful spell or an unfortunate pass on the curse by wolf-folk blood much like with their lycanthrope cousins. Some wolf-folk become this way from a previous life, and unlike other wolf-folk, are usually a bit strange or feral even in some cases. People usually feel uncomfortable around them, passing them as animals that try to be human.
