When the Crimson Court took hold of Lunarym's decaying corpse, with them came the stain of eldritch blood, a spreading manifestation of the most fierce feeling of madness and affliction. Those affected by it found their minds melt into uncontrollable madness and frenzy, devoted to the blood's properties and blessings upon them. Armed with weapons of steel bathed in the blood's melting ichor, as well as bloodied powers incomprehensible to the human mind, the fanatics unknowlingly assist in spreading the sprawling corruption, cutting down all who would stand before their unholy crusade of global obliteration.
The Fanatics are humanoid monsters who gave themselves to the the old bloods eldritch powers: by doing so their minds became tarnished by frenzy and the toxic nature of the blood caused their flesh to melt like candle wax and adopted a red taint matching the ambiant color of the burning city around them. Furthermore, some of them are grafted with metal parts and sometimes have amputed limbs and replaced with dangerous weapons, others have limbs and subsections of their bodies melted into disgusting forms.
It is interesting to notice that all Fanatics are blind, either by their hood, a blindfold, or simply because their eye sockets melted; this handicap doesn't stop them from being a important threat however. It is possible that their devotion brought them some form of illumination and they don't need to use their eyes to see now.
Fanatic Cultist

Fanatic Pilgrim

Short, squat, and sometimes seen holding a giant buring cauldron above their head, fanatic pilgrims are a sight to behold. They are detestable and rapturous cultists who often hold their hands upwards in prayer, acting as blood-filled shields for those behind them. In some cases they are armed with deadly, magmatic censers that they bring into battle with a singular goal in mind: explode.

Fanatic Brander

Adherents of a cardinal's frantic desire to claim and burn those around them, the branders were once men before being changed by the old blood. They carry large staves with ignited necktraps attached to them to entrap and burn their victims alive.

Fanatic Demagogue

Leading their emblazened congregations, the demagogues direct the adherents of the fanatics to further the will of the old blood. Singularly blessed, it is the demagogues who feel the eldritch power of the blood coarse through their veins the most. They drive the fanatic cults into actioning their beloved blood's nonexistent goals to corrupt, without their presence, many fanatic warbands would be leaderless and unable to interpret the blood's command. Should they be slain, the rest of the fanatics shall eventually fall to catatonic madness without a monstorous zealot to guide them.
The demagogues are some of the few fanatics able to ignite the others aflame by enflaring the old blood within, granting their clergymen frenzied fanaticism through flaming retribution.

Fanatic Mortifier

The mortifiers are large and emposing fanatics who appear to have replaced a missing arm with a long, chained blade for extended range. They are brutish followers of the demagogues and their higher ups who seek nothing more than the destruction of those before them.
