This "Tiefling" woman is the embodiment of "go with the flow". Murder the locals? Sure. Overthrow the monarchy? Sure. Pet the hippos at the lake? Alrighty. All hinging on what's she's feeling like that day. She can be a wonderful ally or a horrendous enemy its 50/50.
However, she wasn't always like this. Originally she was an assumed human child named Nadia, and engaged in normal child behavior. Playing outside, making games from throwing sticks and rocks, and clinging to her mother and father, Miranda and Laremy Meran. How does a human child become a teifling woman? That's exactly what she intends to find out.
One day, she snuck outside and went into the forest near the cottage her and her family lived. She wanted to practice the "sparks" that she accidentally made earlier that day. As she wondered farther in the tree line she felt an uncomfortable chill surge through her body. She turned around and sees nothing but empty blackness, she turns back where she believes she was looking before, empty blackness. There's nothing but a completely black void surrounding her and that is all that she remembers until regaining consciousness strapped to a cold slab of stone.
The next chunk of time for her is all a jumbled mess of experimentation and abuse. The only things that are definitely persistent and poignant in her mind about this time period is a musky alchemical smell from whatever ritual experiment that was done and the stomach pit educing presence of her captures. Over and over again she woke up from what feels like burning nightmares. Terror, dread, despair is all that runs through her mind whenever she find herself awake until one day, she wakes up, alone, naked, seemingly abandoned in a forest alone.
After traveling for awhile, with her newly gained party, on a search for power she encountered a hellknight named Egbert. She and her party engaged in combat which turned out to be a trail for her. Later on, during her second trial, which happened in the unnamed mountain range northwest of Kaido, she learned that she was indeed created to be a new god of Covenant from a devil woman called Empulsa, as well as her true father's name, Tabbaris. After this second trial she received the second half of an artifact and the two halves formed the Amulet of divinity which not only turned her into a Demi-god, but also reverted her into her true self, an Aasimar.
At the end of her journey with The Champions, Mal'dria took her to meet her creator Tabbaris and be inform of his mission

Azael is an interesting case of what happens when torture and experimentation is inflicted upon an innocent person that wasnt asking for it. This character wasnt born this way, she was made.
