The 3 Immortals

Once, Long ago three seekers of magical lore and power found themselves as travelling together. There Was Ruhan, a powerful wizard who prided himself his Arcane art a longed to learn everything this world had to offer. Jeserie an Bard, whos voice and ravishing appearance drew admirers far and wide, she prided her self in her enchanting music and looks and was always seeking ways to improve her arts. The final mage i forget his name, but he had been favored by a powerful being and given a portion of its power, he always saw himself as above others but found solace in these two new companions who always seemed to match him wit for wit. The Trio traveled the world seeking new magic, adventure and glory.
Over time the mages grew in fame and Power until one day the trio was faced with the impending promise of their own mortality creeping closer. The Wizard was dying and his magic couldn't stop his bodies failure. He turned all his pursuits into stopping his own death. The Bards beauty was fading as was her legend as a performer and the admirers she once coveted no longer came. and The final mage saw his companions despair and lamented and consulted his benefactor. He sought a solution to their fragile lives and one day he approached the others with Three with an answer.
"I have found a possibility for us to all live and continue," he said solemnly, as he knew the ways were dark and required much sacrifice.
His Friends heeded not his warnings and dug into his research pulling what they could and retreating to their own abodes to preform the deeds to live forever. He never again saw his friends, for in their desperation they shut themselves away. but he heard rumors of monstrosities they committed in their pursuit of the path he put them on. As his own life drew to a close the mage would often ponder if the price of immortality was worth living forever.

Summary

Three Mages become obsessed with the secrets of Immortality in order to preserve what they enjoyed in life to only lose their humanity and joy in the first palce.
