Alledane

Mysterious hero from another dimension who granted Paladin his powers. Alledane traveled to Arilia to warn the heroes of this world about the impending Covenant invasion.
A galactic explorer from the third moon of Kryklyx, Tyxlus, she had come to the aid of heroes on a planet ruled by the Covenant. Alledane made a home for herself on that world, and joined a super team working to bring down their despotic rulers. When they realized their world was lost, they devised a plan to travel to the new world before the Covenant could get there, but their plans were discovered. The Covenant attacked, and only Alledane survived and escaped, but not without suffering a fatal wound. She crashed to the surface of Arilia, in suburbs of Terminal City, and pulled from the wreckage of her ship by Richie Hernandez. Alledane was impressed by the act of heroism, and used her remaining strength to pass the Torch of Tyxlus to him.

Alledane's people, the Tyxlan, are naturally stronger and faster than many galactic species.
As a teenager, she participated in an ancient tournament to claim a supernatural force known as the Torch of Tyxlus. Travelers from all over the galaxy would flock to Tyxlus to join the competition, and over the centuries many different champions had claimed the Torch, which granted unique powers to the wielders of different species. The Torch would return to the caverns beneath an ancient mountain on Tyxlus if the current wielder died without finding a successor. Alledane won a series of trials, both physical and mental, and claimed the Torch for herself. She gained the powers of supersonic flight, energy blasts, and the ability to expand her senses by attuning with the cosmos. Alledane could use her expanded consciousness to detect and influence the emotions and surface thoughts of other sentients.
