Cultural event
Writing was adapted by sentient humanoid races and used in tribes to develop agricultural and nautical records, and to facilitate trade.
Around this time, writing was developed by tribal societies of humans, elves, dwarves, halfings, and gnomes. Before this, writing existed in the form of languages such as Draconic, Abyssal, and Celestial. Ancient artifacts from these sources would occasionally be discovered, and may have inspired the earliest forms of writing developed by the mortal races.
