Evoker
While Foolish is not proud of them, there are those who claim his favor in their endeavors to manipulate the balance of life and death.
These followers are called Evokers, and they use their knowledge of the living and the soul to command those who have moved to the beyond or are in limbo to act out the evoker's will. Evokers summon spirits they had connections with and chain them to their bidding, either through deals to resurrect the soul (souls controlled this way are called Vexes) once they aid the Evoker, or through magically binding the soul to the Evoker.
Evokers are raised in the cult, and are taught from a young age that their ability to manipulate life is something to be used and the more connections they make, the more powerful they will become. While some have used this mentality and have learned outside perspectives of the cult from those they connect with genuinely, most are taught to instead never speak of this motive unless absolutely necessary. This leads many to be manipulative of others and to treat outsiders as if they are mere stepping stones to a grander power.
The more powerful the person in life, their soul's power is preserved in death, so Evokers try to either have connections to a vast number of people they view as "unimportant" or try to have strong connections to more powerful souls instead.
