Jander Sunstar is a vampire hunter, he also happens to be a vampire.
He was turned into a vampire during an attack and had to serve his master for years. He ended up gaining his freedom when he successfully killed him.
He then fell in love with Anna, a reincarnation of Tatyana. After she died he was devastated and found Count Strahd von Zarovich. He decided to kill him when he learnt what he had done to Tatyana and they fought. The fight ended up with Count Strahd von Zarovich disappearing and Jander heavily wounded. However, as he died he was transported to the Shadow Plane.
In the campaign, he will meet the player after they return in Creae and will help them defeat Strahd.
