Arcanum Bracers

Arcanum Bracers come in many forms with many uses.  They are metal pieces of armor that cover the forearms and are laced with Arcanum Crystals.  They both protect from normal weapon damage and have magical abilities that depend on the configuration of the Arcanum.  Due to their expense and rarity, they are only favored by elite military forces and wealthy adventurers.  Typically an Arcanum Crafter will be hired to design specific magical effects into the crystals so that the wearer can quickly employ a pre-installed spell or a spell can automatically cast itself when preset conditions are met.
